Inglés
Descripción/Más info:

Since the late 90´s until 2002 a new section of the roman aqueduct (1st century BC) was excavated and restored, adding to already discovered sections at Torrecuevas and Rio Seco. This aqueduct brought water to the town and the salting factory located in El Majuelo.

At the same time, a roman baths and funerary items from the same period were found. This finding has provoked a new advance in our understanding about the history of Almuñécar in the Roman era.
